Are you looking for nationally recognised First Aid or CPR training especially in the Geelong, Bellarine or Colac areas?

Our trainer, Martin Warneke, is a qualified and experienced trainer and assessor who delivers nationally recognised training under contract to Eclipse Education (RTO) 32252 and regularly delivers First Aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training for Eclipse Education primarily in the Geelong, Bellarine or Colac areas and throughout Victoria if requested!

The training provider is Eclipse Education who will provide our students with the online training components. They also provide technical support required to assist with this part of the training; while FIRST AID SERVICES TRAINING 4U will facilitate the practical training at the students’ venue, i.e. we come to your nominated venue to complete the practical training. This practical part of the training course allows each student to put into practise various parts of first aid in a variety of scenarios and situations. This training is compliant with all provisions of the Australian Resuscitation Council’s technical guidelines, utilising a variety of first aid training manikins; ‘training defibrillators’; ‘training Epipens/Jext and Neffy’ devices; and practising a variety of bandaging techniques to collectively develop each student’s first said skills.

Following the successful completion of all of the required components of the training, Eclipse Education (RTO 32252) issue the following nationally-recognised certificates or statements of attainment to our students:

HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care setting.

The HLTAID011 and HLTAID012 courses are valid for three years from the date of completion. In order to remain compliant with the Australian Resuscitation Council’s national training requirements to maintain a student’s skills, the expectation is that students complete the HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation course annually in the interim years between full training courses. Note: this is an industry-wide expectation. ALL first aid training organisations suggest that students follow this recommendation to remain compliant and ready in case of need!

Based in Queenscliff, we are contracted by Eclipse Education (RTO 32252) to provide First Aid courses primarily on the Bellarine Peninsula, on the Surf Coast and in the Greater Geelong areas.

We offer personalised training in Personal and Workplace First Aid, including, among other things, stroke, anaphylaxis and asthma, CPR and AED training. Our aim is to help our clients to learn, develop, and maintain their First Aid training and skills in caring and supportive environments.

We are mobile - We do not have our own training facility per se, we come to your location: your home, office, school or workshop.

The minimum number of students in a class is two persons. This allows for students to practise skills with a partner, such as Basic Life Support, safe rolling practises, and bandaging, while also maintaining a ‘safe learning’ environment for all concerned.

First aid training equipment provided

The following equipment is provided by FAST 4U for our students’ use during our First Aid training courses and assessments:

A PowerPoint slide presentation of all relevant topics
Adult, child and infant resuscitation manikins for the purpose of assessment of CPR procedures
We utilise ‘female’ torsos, as well as the usual ‘male’ torsos for use in CPR training, which places us at the top of the CPR training industry
A particular point of difference between us and other training organisations is that our manikins are ‘culturally diverse’, i.e. as well as the usual ‘light coloured’ manikins that are usually presented in class, we have a number of dark skinned manikins for our students to use. They are adult and child sized… and infants! Again, this places us at the top of the CPR training industry

Adrenalin auto-injector training devices, e.g. Epipens, Jext and Neffy nasal applicators
Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training devices

Clothing requirements

Learners should wear loose, comfortable clothing that is appropriate for rolling a casualty into the ‘Recovery Position’ and delivering CPR.
Learners must be physically capable of bending and kneeling to provide first aid to an child or adult lying on the floor. This includes performing CPR on the floor for up to 5 minutes.

CODE OF ETHICS FOR FIRST AID TRAINING

Our professional status as First Aid trainers and assessors is maintained and enriched by our willingness to accept and fulfil obligations to each casualty, other medical professionals we encounter, and to others generally in our complex, modern-day society. As First Aid trainers and assessors, First Aid Services Training 4U (FAST 4U) conforms to the following code of professional ethics:

We train our students to conserve each casualty’s life, to alleviate their suffering, to promote their health, do no harm to them, and to encourage the quality and equal availability of emergency medical care to all casualties.
To provide training services based on human need, with compassion and respect for each person’s dignity, unrestricted by consideration of nationality, race, creed, colour, or status; to not judge the merits of the patient’s request for service; nor allow the patient’s socioeconomic status to influence the demeanour or the training/care that is provided.
To use our first aid knowledge and skills for the well-being of all students who are participating in our training activities.
To respect and hold in confidence all information of a confidential nature obtained in the course of professional service unless/as required by law to divulge such information.
To use social media in a responsible and professional manner that does not discredit, dishonour, or embarrass any other co-workers, other health care practitioners, patients, individuals or the community at large.

This training is fully compliant with Australian law and is delivered on behalf of ECLIPSE EDUCATION, RTO #32252. They will provide each student with appropriate online training components. ECLIPSE EDUCATION issue the nationally-recognised certification following the successful completion of all training requirements by our students.
